I've never learned German. Where do I start?

At level A1. It's designed for complete beginners: we start with pronunciation, the alphabet and your first words. If you're not sure, answer the 5 questions in the course finder on the home page and you'll get a concrete course recommendation.

What's the difference between the video, group and fast-track course?

The video course is recorded lessons you watch whenever you want and keep forever. The group course is live online classes in a small group and lasts 3 months. The fast-track course is the same programme as the group course, condensed into 2 months. All three cover the complete curriculum of the level following CEFR.

How quickly can I start speaking?

We use the early-speaking method, so you speak in the very first lesson. We don't wait until you've "learned enough grammar" before you open your mouth. You apply every new structure in conversation right away.

Do the courses prepare me for official exams?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The complete curriculum follows the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), and the course books also contain all the vocabulary needed to pass exams at official institutes.

What if I miss a class in the group course?

No problem. Every class is recorded and the recording stays available to you. Watch it when you can, as many times as you like, and the class materials arrive as PDFs.

How big are the groups?

Groups are deliberately small so everyone gets to speak. If a group is full, we enrol you in the next start date, and new dates begin every few weeks.

How much time do I need to set aside each day?

For the video course, as much as you can, since you go at your own pace. For the group course, count on the classes plus about 30 minutes a day for homework. If you really have little time, the email programme takes 15 minutes a day.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes. Video courses have a monthly payment option: A1 from €33, A2 from €35 and B1 from €39 per month. For the other courses we arrange instalments directly, just message us on WhatsApp.

How does payment work and what do I get right away?

Payment goes through a secure Shopify and Stripe page, by card. After paying you receive an email with access to the course, or a confirmation of enrolment and the dates for group and fast-track courses.

Does the video course expire?

No. You pay for the video course once and the materials stay yours. Watch them as many times and whenever you like, even long after you've finished the course.

What exactly do I get with a course?

Video lessons, a PDF presentation for every lesson, listening, reading and writing exercises, and Quizlet sets for learning vocabulary. With group and fast-track courses you also get recordings of every class.
